Manager – Financial Due Diligence (Financial Services) – EdinburghThe OpportunityEY's UK Financial Services Financial Due Diligence team advises corporate, private equity and financial services clients on some of the market's most significant transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, refinancing and IPOs.Working across the Banking & Capital Markets, Insurance and Asset Management sectors, you will support clients through complex transactions by providing financial due diligence, financial analysis and commercial insight. You will work within integrated, multidisciplinary teams and gain exposure to a broad range of high profile engagements.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Manager within Financial Due Diligence, you will play a leading role in the delivery of financial due diligence engagements, supporting clients in assessing opportunities, risks and value drivers throughout the transaction process.You will:Lead day to day execution of financial due diligence projectsManage project plans, deliverables and timelines across multiple engagementsAnalyse financial and operational information to identify key findings, risks and opportunitiesPrepare and review high quality client deliverables, including reports, presentations and stakeholder discussionsSupport clients in understanding transaction implications and provide commercially focused recommendationsBuild strong working relationships with clients and become a trusted point of contact throughout engagementsCollaborate with colleagues across Strategy and Transactions, Tax, Valuations and other service linesCoach and develop junior team members, providing regular feedback and on the job supportContribute to business development initiatives, client relationships and recruitment activitiesSkills and ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:Strong analytical and problem solving capabilitiesExperience gathering, assessing and interpreting financial information to support decision makingThe ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high quality work under tight deadlinesStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsProven experience reviewing and presenting findings to both internal and external audiencesA collaborative approach and commitment to supporting team developmentRequirementsACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualificationExperience in Financial Due Diligence, Transaction Services or a related advisory environmentFinancial Services sector experience, ideally within Banking & Capital Markets, Insurance or Asset ManagementStrong commercial awareness and understanding of transaction processesA commitment to delivering exceptional client serviceDesirable ExperiencePrevious experience managing workstreams and project teamsExposure to buy side and sell side transactionsBusiness development and networking experienceCoaching and mentoring experienceWhat We Look ForWe're looking for individuals who are curious, commercially minded and thrive in a fast paced environment.
