Salary: Β£58,000 - 98,000 per year

Requirements:

  • A completed degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Significant experience in data governance, data management or a closely related discipline.
  • Experience in common data governance methodologies such as DAMA – DMBOK2.
  • Proven experience leading complex projects and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Practical knowledge of governance operating models and core data governance principles.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • The ability to manage delivery effectively while maintaining a strong client experience.
  • Experience coaching and developing others, together with the energy to support the growth of the team.
  • Experience implementing Data Governance tooling, including Data Catalog, Metadata Management, Data Lineage, or Data Quality platforms.
  • Experience supporting data-related regulatory, compliance, privacy, or risk management initiatives.
  • Experience establishing Data Ownership, Data Stewardship, and Data Governance Councils across complex organisations.
  • Experience contributing to business development, proposition development, thought leadership, or go-to-market initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead data governance engagements from initial assessment through design and implementation, ensuring the work supports the clients business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Help clients establish clear and practical governance operating models, with appropriate ownership and accountability for data.
  • Lead governance work across key domains such as data quality and lineage, focusing activity on the areas that will create the greatest value and build trust in data.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans that outline scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring successful execution and delivery.
  • Facilitate discussions with senior business and technology stakeholders, turning complex requirements into clear decisions and realistic roadmaps.
  • Champion operational efficiency improvements on projects and internal initiatives and consistently drive projects to completion, ensuring the work is of high quality.
  • Create innovative insights which add value to both our clients and the broader society.
  • Understand all our consulting service offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serve clients and build meaningful external and internal relationships across service lines.
  • Contribute to the development of the wider Data & AI team by building our brand, attending relevant events, collaborating with other internal teams, and producing thought leadership.
  • Actively establish, maintain, and strengthen internal and external relationships.
  • Identify potential business opportunities for EY to incubate or drive new solutions and services.
  • Lead Technology Consulting engagements, managing team performance and commercials including conducting performance reviews and contributing to performance feedback for all levels of staff.
  • Manage engagement billings and estimates to complete.
  • Understand, follow and lead staff in workplace policies and procedures.
  • Lead and coach colleagues, create a positive learning culture and contribute to the continued growth of our Belfast capability.
  • Adapt your leadership style to fit team, client, and cultural needs, and anticipate and identify risks and elevate issues as appropriate.
