Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Manager within AI Strategy practice, you’ll lead defined workstreams or smaller AI strategy engagements, manage junior team members and support Associate Directors, Directors and Partners in delivering high-quality client outcomesThis will include:Translating complex client questions into clear hypotheses, workplans, analytical requirements and client-ready deliverablesManaging the day-to-day delivery of workstreams, including timelines, team activities, dependencies, analytical quality and delivery risksSupporting enterprise AI strategy engagements through AI maturity assessments, value-pool sizing, use-case prioritisation, operating-model design, business cases and implementation roadmapsDelivering modules of buy-side and vendor AI due diligence, including assessing AI capabilities, commercial defensibility, technology and execution risks, value creation opportunities and AI equity narrativesManaging day-to-day client relationships, conducting interviews and workshops, and presenting clear, evidence-based findings to senior stakeholdersLeading and coaching Consultants and Senior Consultants, reviewing their analysis and creating an inclusive, collaborative and high-performing team environmentSupporting proposals, proposition development, thought leadership and the identification of follow-on opportunitiesSkills and Attributes for SuccessThe successful candidate will demonstrate:Structured strategy consulting capabilityStrong hypothesis-led problem-solving, analytical judgement and the ability to structure complex or ambiguous questionsStrong synthesis and storytelling skills, with the ability to produce concise, decision-oriented recommendations under demanding deadlinesTechno-commercial AI fluencyA practical understanding of enterprise AI, including generative AI, data and technology architecture, operating models, governance and responsible AIThe ability to translate technical considerations into implications for commercial value, cost, feasibility, scalability, risk and competitive differentiationCommercial and quantitative capabilityStrong commercial acumen and experience developing business cases, value-driver analyses, cost models and implementation roadmapsStrong PowerPoint and Excel capability, with the ability to evaluate management, technology and vendor claims criticallyLeadership and communicationStrong workstream and team leadership, with the ability to manage junior colleagues and coordinate inputs from multidisciplinary specialistsExcellent written and verbal communication, credibility with senior stakeholders and a proactive, collaborative and intellectually curious working styleEssential experienceCandidates must have:At least four years of management consulting experience, with substantial experience with a recognised strategy or management consulting firm, strategy boutique or strategy-led transactions practiceEvidence of operating at Senior Consultant or Manager level, or clear readiness to move into a manager position immediatelyAt least one year of substantive AI-focused experience, gained through one or more of the following: Enterprise AI strategyAI-enabled business or functional transformationAI or technology due diligenceAI value creation planningStrategy for AI-enabled products or businessesData, digital or technology strategy with a material AI componentA track record of independently leading defined workstreams from planning through to deliveryExperience managing Consultants, Senior Consultants or small multidisciplinary project teamsExperience reviewing the quality of analytical work and client-facing outputsExperience engaging directly with client stakeholders, including senior functional, technology, data or transaction stakeholdersStrong evidence of structured problem-solving, quantitative or financial analysis, client communication and project managementExperience developing high-quality client, executive or investment committee materials under tight deadlinesThe ability to work across commercial and technical subject matter and bring together inputs from multiple specialistsProficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel and a willingness to share technical, commercial and consulting knowledge with the wider teamIdeally, you will alsoHave direct experience in enterprise AI strategy, AI-led functional transformation or AI-focused transaction workHave buy-side or vendor due diligence experienceHave experience assessing AI-enabled products, software businesses, data assets or technology operating modelsBe an excellent communicator, both oral and writtenHave proposal development or broader business development experienceHave a drive to solve complex and ambiguous problems with senior stakeholdersBe an effective time manager, able to remain calm when under pressure to meet deadlinesBe a coach to junior team members, helping them through on-the-job training, informal discussions and
