The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Manager to join our US/UK Cross Border Private Client team. This role is predominantly UK‑focused, supporting the delivery of UK tax compliance and advisory work for high‑net‑worth individuals, entrepreneurs, family offices, and internationally mobile clients with US connections.
You will manage a portfolio of clients, act as a key day‑to‑day contact, and support Directors/Partners on complex advisory engagements. Alongside delivery, you will play an active role in developing the team and contributing to business growth.
The Team
Our US/UK Cross Border team advises:
- UK resident and non‑UK domiciled individuals
- Family offices and private equity principals
- Hedge fund managers and partnerships
Key areas include:
- UK tax compliance and advisory
- Residence, domicile and remittance basis planning
- Cross‑border structuring and transactions
- Wealth, succession and estate planning
- Collaboration with US and global EY teams
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients with complex UK tax affairs, ensuring high‑quality delivery and strong client service
- Prepare and review UK tax returns and advisory work, escalating key technical matters where required
- Support on technically complex advisory projects, including cross‑border structuring and planning
- Identify UK and international tax issues (e.g. IHT, trusts, succession planning) and coordinate with specialists
- Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted day‑to‑day adviser
- Contribute to business development through identifying opportunities and supporting proposals
- Monitor WIP, billing and recoveries across your portfolio
- Coach and develop junior team members, supporting their progression
- Work closely with Directors and Partners on team priorities, resourcing and delivery

- Strong experience in UK private client tax within practice
- Experience managing and reviewing UK tax compliance and supporting advisory work
- Good understanding of non‑dom, residence and internationally mobile client issues
- Confident managing client relationships and day‑to‑day interactions

- Experience supervising and developing junior team members
