The Work

Our current work is typically focused on applying our deep sector & strategy knowledge to various types of projects, including:

  • Commercial due diligence
  • Strategy development and assessment
  • Market entry strategy and opportunity sizing
  • Product and business unit strategy development
  • Divestment options analysis

As a Senior Consultant, you will play a critical leadership role in all of the firm's work. You will often be the primary contact for clients, responsible for developing and executing work plans, and managing associates. Your skills as a consultant are highly tuned in the areas of analytics, communications, teamwork, and leadership.

Internally, you will have leadership responsibilities in areas like recruiting, training, professional development, etc. You will begin taking responsibility for developing the recommendations that will ultimately be implemented by our clients, whilst also learning how to contribute to and grow EY-Parthenon’s business through internal practice building and contributing to new business development.

You will have opportunities to learn from a wide variety of senior team members through counselling relationships, mentoring, and coaching. In addition, EY-Parthenon provides a robust formal training programme designed to suit you at each stage in your career and help you to develop the skills needed to maximise your effectiveness as a consultant and an advisor.

Your Key Responsibilities

You will lead your teams in:

  • Independently performing primary and secondary research including data gathering, interviews, and surveys
  • Planning and developing analytics, both qualitative and quantitative
  • Developing ‘the story’ – the output to narrate the solution to the client’s problem – including written output (slides)
  • Managing relationships with client stakeholders
  • Fostering an inclusive culture throughout the team and within engagements
  • Developing a community within the team – volunteering to support to develop an offer, or other internal practice build initiatives such as Learning, Operations, Resourcing, Recruitment, etc.
  • Counselling Associate Consultants to provide career direction and guidance

  • Be educated to bachelor’s degree level or equivalent required; Masters/MBA/PhD qualification helpful
  • Have a minimum of 3 years working experience in a strategy consulting, transaction advisory or corporate finance role.
  • Have both quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
  • Be clear and concise in your communication skills, and be able to engage effectively with both clients and team members
  • Possess a desire and ability to solve complex and open-ended client problems
