You will be working with some of the largest corporation in the world advising them on their international tax planning and M&A deals. Working within our International Transaction Tax Service (ITTS) Practice focusing on the RHC offering.With a number of disrupting factors in the market at the moment you’ll be at the forefront of helping our clients to navigate the market challenges on an international scale.The opportunityThe combination of experience and innovation in our team makes it not only one of the most exciting places to work in tax, but also a place where you can learn and develop into a skilled and renowned international tax adviser, working with UK / overseas MNCs, lawyers and banks on complex and exciting projects.Our international tax professionals will work on a variety of projects which are focused on helping clients to develop and execute their international tax strategy, including:Expansion into new marketsPre-transaction reorganisations and post-transaction integrationLegal structure rationalisationOperating model redesignOptimisation of capital structure and financingOptimisation of intellectual property ownership and reliefsManaging the risk arising from global law change such as BEPS, and Lobbying and negotiation with tax authorities in UK and globally Your key responsibilitiesBuild and maintain relationships with clients, winning work proactively and contributing to winning new clientsManagement of the successful delivery of technically complex and demanding consulting projects, ensuring technical excellence and practical / business focus approach takenOverall responsibility of quality of client serviceManage possible leads from other areas of the practiceBuild networks and relationships internally and externally for the team to leverage fromDevelop junior staff through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoringSignificant involvement in the management of the team both in terms of strategy and operations and also through managing junior staff development and assignmentsSkills and attributes for successClient focus and commercially awareStrong international and UK tax technical skills and understandingCommitment to building strong client relationship management with ability to develop quality outputs to clientsNegotiation skills and handle challengesBusiness development skills, able to identify and convert opportunities to sell workStrong business acumen with ability to manage engagement financial resultsEffective time management, ability to remain calm when under pressure to meet deadlinesExcellent communicator in a range of situations both written and oralEnthusiastic team player with ability to create, sustain effective teamsEnsure delivery of quality work and take day to day deliveryChange orientated and innovative with flexible approach to ways of working and adoption of new technologiesTo qualify for the role you must haveACA/CA/ACCA/CTA; or Tax Inspectors with full Technical Training Course; or Law qualificationDegree qualifiedExperienced corporate tax practitionerProven ability to read and interpret existing and new tax statuteExperience of working in a client facing role in UK tax or similar jurisdictionExperience of working within the Real Estate sectorProject management skills, plan and prioritize work, meet deadlines, monitor own budgetWhat we offerContinuous learning: We’ll give you the insights, coaching and confidence to be the leader the world needs.You’ll be embraced for who you are and empowered to use your voice to help others find theirs.If you can confidently demonstrate that you meet the criteria above, please contact us as soon as possible.The exceptional EY experience.
