Key Responsibilities
- As a Manager within AI Strategy practice, you’ll lead defined workstreams or smaller AI strategy engagements, manage junior team members and support Associate Directors, Directors and Partners in delivering high-quality client outcomes.
- This will include:
- Translating complex client questions into clear hypotheses, workplans, analytical requirements and client-ready deliverables.
- Managing the day-to-day delivery of workstreams, including timelines, team activities, dependencies, analytical quality and delivery risks.
- Supporting enterprise AI strategy engagements through AI maturity assessments, value-pool sizing, use-case prioritisation, operating-model design, business cases and implementation roadmaps.
- Delivering modules of buy-side and vendor AI due diligence, including assessing AI capabilities, commercial defensibility, technology and execution risks, value creation opportunities and AI equity narratives.
- Managing day-to-day client relationships, conducting interviews and workshops, and presenting clear, evidence-based findings to senior stakeholders.
- Leading and coaching Consultants and Senior Consultants, reviewing their analysis and creating an inclusive, collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Supporting proposals, proposition development, thought leadership and the identification of follow-on opportunities.

- Strong commercial acumen and experience developing business cases, value-driver analyses, cost models and implementation roadmaps.

- Strong workstream and team leadership, with the ability to manage junior colleagues and coordinate inputs from multidisciplinary specialists.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, credibility with senior stakeholders and a proactive, collaborative and intellectually curious working style.
Essential Experience
- Candidates must have:
- At least four years of management consulting experience, with substantial experience with a recognised strategy or management consulting firm, strategy boutique or strategy-led transactions practice.
- Evidence of operating at Senior Consultant or Manager level, or clear readiness to move into a manager position immediately.
- At least one year of substantive AI-focused experience, gained through one or more of the following:
- Enterprise AI strategy.
- AI-enabled business or functional transformation.
- AI or technology due diligence.
- AI value creation planning.
- Strategy for AI-enabled products or businesses.
- Data, digital or technology strategy with a material AI component.
- A track record of independently leading defined workstreams from planning through to delivery.
- Experience managing Consultants, Senior Consultants or small multidisciplinary project teams.
- Experience reviewing the quality of analytical work and client-facing outputs.
- Experience engaging directly with client stakeholders, including senior functional, technology, data or transaction stakeholders.
- Strong evidence of structured problem-solving, quantitative or financial analysis, client communication and project management.
- Experience developing high-quality client, executive or investment committee materials under tight deadlines.
- The ability to work across commercial and technical subject matter and bring together inputs from multiple specialists.
- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel and a willingness to share technical, commercial and consulting knowledge with the wider team.
Ideally, you will also
- Have direct experience in enterprise AI strategy, AI-led functional transformation or AI-focused transaction work.
- Have buy-side or vendor due diligence experience.
- Have experience assessing AI-enabled products, software businesses, data assets or technology operating models.
- Be an excellent communicator, both oral and written.
- Have proposal development or broader business development experience.
- Have a drive to solve complex and ambiguous problems with senior stakeholders.
- Be an effective time manager, able to remain calm when under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Be a coach to junior team members, helping them through on-the-job training, informal discussions and formal EY-Parthenon training modules.
- Be a team player with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels in EY and with clients, both in the UK and internationally.
