Overview
As an Employment Lawyer in EY's London Legal team, you will provide practical, business-focused employment counsel to support transformation and innovation. You will partner with stakeholders across a fast-paced professional services environment to manage risk, handle complex grievance and disciplinary matters, and support strategic litigation. The role involves advising on employment aspects of client contracts, acquisitions, and TUPE transfers, while shaping policies to reflect evolving law and EY's values. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to EY's goal of building a better working world through prudent, commercial legal advice.

Responsibilities
- Identify and balance employment law risk, delivering practical, business-centric solutions with stakeholders.
- Advise on grievance, disciplinary, and dismissal processes, including negotiated settlements.
- Provide strategic litigation support to the Talent function on Employment Tribunal claims.
- Assist in negotiating employment aspects of client contracts, master service agreements, and tenders (with focus on TUPE).
- Advise on employment considerations in corporate acquisitions and internal projects.
- Conduct sensitive investigations related to business conduct, whistleblowing, and external complaints.
- Review and update policies and standard docs to reflect law changes and EY commitments.
- Advise on post-termination restrictions and deliver training on employment risks and processes.
Key requirements
- Approximately 6+ years of post-qualification employment law experience.
- Experience in a reputable City law firm or in-house.
- Strong team player
