The Sustainable Finance Technology team is looking for candidates who are dedicated and capable of helping us to develop and grow our sustainable finance business. We are seeking high performing Senior Consultants to join our team. As a Senior Consultant in our team, you will primarily work with financial services clients across sectors including Banking & Capital Markets, Wealth & Asset Management and Insurance, to help them leverage data & technology assets in their sustainability initiatives.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- You will support delivery of ESG technology engagements on a standalone basis or as part of a larger transformation agenda.
- You will contribute to the development of technology services, approaches and solutions that enable our clients to meet sustainability objectives.
- You will help develop tactical and strategic solutions to sustainability tech and data issues through means such as data analysis, creating frameworks and/or working with developers to build new tools and models.
- You will support sales activities including drafting of project proposal documents, meeting potential clients, inputting into branding & marketing and managing pipeline as required.
- You will be given responsibility on ESG technology engagements.
- You will partner with other sustainability-focused teams within Consulting and other EY service lines (e.g. Tax, Assurance, Strategy) to provide technology and data input that is aligned to their broader ESG strategy, initiatives and targets.
- You will build relationships with ESG technology vendors to equip the team with the necessary resources and expertise to help our clients through ESG complexities.
- You will provide innovative insights for clients and contribute to thought leadership.
- You will actively drive operational efficiency on projects through budgeting, billing, and resourcing.
- You will invest yourself in your junior team members’ development and success.
Skills and Attributes for Success:
- ESG Data and Tech: Ability to apply ESG data & technology to address new and evolving use cases within Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance, Wealth & Asset Management or Private Equity.
- Experience in at least one of the ESG pillars and of at least some ESG regulations and their impact on financial services firms.
- Understanding of financed emissions and the role of financial services in meeting global environmental targets.
- Experience in ESG data & technology change programmes implemented and integrated within existing architectures and environments.
- Knowledge of ESG data vendors, data models, common usage and associated pitfalls, as well as ESG market data trends.
To qualify for the role you must have:
- Experience working in a range of projects related to ESG and/or sustainable finance, ideally within banking, insurance, pensions, wealth and asset management and/or private equity specifically.
- Professional experience around data management and/or technology delivery.
- Demonstrable experience of the skills needed to succeed in a consulting role, with the ability to understand clients’ needs and develop innovative solutions.
- Strong academic record including a degree and ideally relevant professional qualifications.
- A minimum of 2 years relevant professional experience.
