The TMT team at EY-Parthenon has exciting opportunities. You'll work with a high-performing, integrated team which focuses on a variety of high-profile transactions with leading Corporate and Private Equity clients undertaking Financial Diligence. You'll have a diverse range of stretching experiences which will give you continuous learning and development opportunities as well as a great sense of achievement.
Our core work is due diligence, assessing a target company’s finances and business projections, identifying opportunities, risks, sensitivities and potential mitigations, and reporting on these to our clients, their banks, investors and other parties.
You will have exposure to our high profile global and leading large cap private equity clients. As you develop these relationships with our team, you will have real client influence and a platform for your future. Your work will be alongside high-calibre experienced due diligence professionals, where you will continue to develop your skills to perform due diligence in a range of situations. There is the opportunity for travel, both within the UK and potentially internationally.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Understanding the key revenue, profitability business drivers.
- Co-developing our approach with the client and agreeing value measurements.
- Providing value to the client through insights, factual conclusions and advice.
- Project managing teams and forming strong internal links within the Financial Diligence and wider TMT sub-service lines in EY.
- Gathering, verifying and assessing information to formulate views.
- Planning, preparing and reviewing deliverables in various forms including written reports, presentations and discussions with the client.
In addition, you will:
- Understand the drivers and equity story for the target business.
- Use your sector skills and experience to plan engagements and monitor the progress of the team.
- Share your technical and other knowledge with your team and the department.
- Establish yourself as a key client contact.
- Build on and develop internal and external networks through personal contacts.
- Look for opportunities to sell additional services to our clients.
- Take responsibility for own learning and development, provide coaching/support to others.
Skills and attributes for success:
- Experience within and excitement for the TMT sector, ideally with a sub-sector specialisation.
- Desire to work on transformational deals with global clients.
- Ability to gather, verify and analyse information to formulate views/conclusions.
- Demonstrable experience in planning, preparing and reviewing deliverables.
- Offer a support culture to junior members of the team.
To qualify for the role you must have:
- TMT sector knowledge and experience and accounting experience.
- Business Development experience.
- Preferred ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
- Strong commercial experience and/or relevant industry or transaction experience.
- A passion to provide high quality service to your clients.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Project management skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Team player with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels across the firm.
