As an AI Enterprise Architect at EY, you will lead strategic AI advisory across transformation and transaction engagements. You’ll shape AI target architectures, assess business value and risk, and translate findings into investment roadmaps. Working in a strategy-focused environment, you’ll guide prototypes, governance, and actionable architectures for large-scale enterprises. Responsibilities
- Advise on AI target architectures and architectural options aligned with business objectives
- Structure ambiguous client problems into hypotheses and actionable recommendations
- Design end-to-end AI target architectures including data foundations, models, orchestration, security and operating model
- Assess AI maturity and translate findings into executive recommendations and transformation roadmaps
- Define AI solutions prioritised by value, feasibility and strategic relevance across value streams
- Develop board-ready recommendations on AI-enabled growth and transformation opportunities
- Build the business case for AI including cost, ROI, and make/buy/partner decisions
- Advise on AI governance, data residency, responsible AI and regulatory requirements (EU AI Act, UK regulations)
- Guide prototyping teams and use prototypes to test strategic assumptions
- Define architecture standards, reference patterns, and reusable assets for the practice
- Communicate strategic implications and risks to non-technical executives
- Support proposals and workshops, acting as credibility anchor on complex AI questions
- Coach colleagues and build AI architecture capability across EY-Parthenon and EY
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including strategy consultants and technical specialists
Key requirements
- 7+ years in technology strategy, AI advisory, enterprise or solution architecture or related fields
- Hands-on experience designing AI architectures or ML systems in production
- Experience intersecting business strategy and technology for executive decisions
- Enterprise architecture experience in cloud-native or hybrid environments
- Familiarity with Python and AI development approaches for reviewing designs and guiding prototyping
- Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform
- Knowledge of modern data platforms like Databricks or Snowflake and integration with ERPs
- Understanding of AI unit economics and production-ready scalability and cost considerations
- Familiarity with emerging AI architectures and enterprise AI patterns
- Strong consulting capability and ability to explain technical concepts to executives
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver high-quality results
