For more than 150 years, Exentec Hargreaves has proved our value as the largest and most unique construction engineering business specialising in HVAC in the Energy & Decommissioning, Defence and Transport sectors.
The Role involves:
- Developing, analysing, and updating the project programme and supporting documents throughout the lifetime of the project implementation.
- Initiating and maintaining the detailed Construction Programme together with a Design and Package Procurement Schedule.
- Collecting data, updating the programme to show progress or delays, and providing weekly performance reports to the Project Manager.
- Implementation of financial analysis to assist in the production of commercial information.
Main Responsibilities include:
- Achieving a full understanding of the role and its boundaries.
- Measuring earned value and highlighting financial impact against the programme.
- Actively participating in induction and ongoing training and development.
- Creating, updating, and monitoring a project programme and communicating with the project team, sub-contractors, and clients.
- Carrying out initial site surveys and discussions to establish and develop project requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
- Providing weekly and bi-weekly progress reports, flagging critical path items and possible risks.
- Developing and updating the risk register of the project.
- Encouraging alternative construction techniques to achieve better timescales while maintaining budget, quality, and safety.
- Maintaining records of the project timeframes and achievements for future reference.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:
- Computer literacy.
- Interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
- Primavera Software P6 and MS Office products - MS Project / Word / Excel.
- A conscientious, positive, and reliable attitude.
- Strong analytical and logical skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Highly Desirable (but not essential):
- Familiarity with different forms of contract (NEC).
