We are seeking a proactive and hands-on factory maintenance manager to join our team. Reporting to the manufacturing engineering manager, this role is responsible for the day-to-day coordination, control, and delivery of all factory and office maintenance activities.You will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our site, supporting the manufacture of high-quality HVAC products for the defence, nuclear, and transport sectors.This is a practical, hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Explore your tasks and responsibilitiesFactory, production and facilities maintenancePlan, coordinate, and carry out preventative and reactive maintenance across factory plant and production equipment, including PAT testing, servicing of laser cutters, guillotines, press brakes, cranes, and general sheet metal/welding equipmentManaging service schedules and service agreementsMaintaining preventative maintenance programmesLine management of the factory maintenance assistantCoordinate and carry out general facilities maintenance including:Building repairsFurniture movesGeneral site dutiesSupport the office manager with insurance and compliance requirements (e.g. FGAS, cranes, lifting equipment inspectionsLine management of 2 cleaning staffResponsibility for facility opening/closing, including alarm call-outEnsure maintenance activities comply with Health & Safety, statutory, and site-specific regulations and maintain accurate maintenance records, schedules, and documentationSupport regulatory audits and inspections in coordination with the office managerWork with Engineering to support continuous improvement initiatives, investment projects, and implementation activitiesShow your expertiseExperienced in general factory and machinery maintenanceExperienced in general building/facilities maintenanceHands-on, proactive, and practical in approachHighly organised with strong attention to detailAn excellent problem-solver with a “can-do” attitudeComfortable leading and managing small teamsContact:You want to be part of the Exyte team?
