What Role You Will Play In Our Team We are seeking a senior LNG Analyst in our London office. The role will be London based but will work across our Trading and Analytics teams in London, Singapore, and Houston. The scope includes analysis of the Global LNG markets, maintaining supply and demand balances, forecasting market impacts of events, and monitoring basis and shipping price movements, with a focus on LNG deliveries to Europe. The role involves working closely with our London and Singapore-based trading desks, providing views that directly drive trading and optimization strategies. If you are interested, you can apply now. What You Will Do
- Work with both the European gas team and our LNG analytics team in Singapore, developing and maintaining comprehensive models to forecast Europe’s LNG supply and demand.
- Monitor market developments and gather intelligence on LNG supply and demand fundamentals, market sentiment and technical price analysis to synthesize data into actionable trading insights.
- Drive LNG/Gas fundamental global model development and have a key role in forming the LNG market view.
- Develop strong collaborative working relationships with our global analytical and trading teams.
- Produce ad-hoc analysis as requested by Traders / Trading Management.
- Remain knowledgeable about leading-edge developments, analytical techniques, technologies and tools in Trading analytics.
About You
To be eligible for this role, you must have:
- A strong understanding of Europe’s economy, gas and LNG infrastructure, and gas/LNG supply and demand.
- A wide industry network relating to Europe gas/LNG supply and demand.
- Knowledge of physical commodities trading and financial markets.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in advanced analytical methods and modelling.
- Experience and knowledge of data modelling, and proficiency with R, Python or Matlab.
- The ability to communicate, collaborate and work effectively in an international team environment.
