We are looking for passionate individuals with an entrepreneurial mind-set to drive change in our business. This role sits within the front-office Europe Gas & Power Trading team, based in London.

Job Role Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and commercialising ExxonMobil's European gas portfolio (both existing & new markets).
  • Identify, structure, negotiate, and deliver large trading P&L through a variety of structured deals (primary/bilateral, physical/virtual), internally partnering with Traders, Quants, and Structurers.
  • Work with Finance, Risk and Law to maximise risk-adjusted returns across a range of flexible asset types (storage, pipelines, swing, price index optionality, etc.).
  • Use market & counterparty knowledge to identify select counterparties to improve the P&L of specific deals, facilitating deal capture, across:
    • European storage & transportation operators
    • Other trading business, around the purchase/sale of secondary storage entitlements, capacity transfers and gas-in-store opportunities
    • Regulators and policy makers in related markets
  • Advise on asset optimisation strategies (non-linear exposure management), and provide commercial support during operational events.
  • Provide input into ExxonMobil's trading/portfolio strategy, & lead growth in organisational capabilities/culture.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience as a Gas Originator or Structured Trader, delivering high-value flow/structured products and building industry-leading trading portfolios.
  • Trading specific knowledge of European gas markets, as well as understanding of complex asset price risk, volatility, and hedging mechanisms.
  • Deal focused mindset, P&L accountability for structured gas deals, and experience in a variety of bilateral commodity deals (EFET, ISDA, etc.).
  • Expert in primary infrastructure auctions, and experience running a broad range of bilateral auctions.
  • Experience in building new gas trading capabilities/implementing and operationalising new trading structures.
