What You Will Do
The programme is designed to build a career platform of technical, industry and specialist knowledge. It will give you the tools and opportunity to establish your own career path in various engineering positions and explore pursuing professional registration such as chartership, with support via our MPDS IMechE mentoring programme. There are a range of different roles available to graduate mechanical engineers at ExxonMobil, including the below:
- Mechanical Integrity Engineer – Ensuring equipment across sites delivers performance safely and reliably.
- Machinery Engineer – Providing technical support within a Business Team to ensure reliable and safe operation of critical machines or developing improvements for long term fleet reliability.
About You
To be eligible for this role, you must:
- Be expecting at least a 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering, or similar degree course.
- Be graduating in 2026 or have graduated in the last 3 years (2023-2025 inclusive).
- Be seeking to start employment in September 2026.
- Be able to demonstrate a broad range of personal effectiveness and leadership skills, with the ability to facilitate and influence business decisions in a team environment.
- Be motivated to continue your professional development as an engineer and work with Company mentors towards IMechE Chartership.
Relevant work experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
