What Role You Will Play In Our Team

You will be part of our highly skilled electrical maintenance team working within the Fawley Refinery Tier 1 COMAH Complex.

Your daily tasks will include functional failure maintenance, preventative maintenance, and CAPEX project work.

Your role is critical to keeping the Refinery running safely and reliably.

What You Will Do

  • You will interpret electrical single line diagrams, Motor circuit schematics, vendor drawings etc..
  • Fault finding and preventative maintenance on
  • LV DOL & HV Oil & VAC (up to 11KV) Motor Starters
  • HV (up to 11KV) & LV distribution network circuits & Switchgear, power generation and small power distribution.
  • Motor operated valves, Motors, VFD’s, Conveyors, HV to LV Transformers, Lighting.
  • PLC’s, Fibre Networks.
  • Protection relays – Electromechanical, Static and Microprocessor.
  • UPS systems and Battery chargers
  • ATEX equipment inspection & repair - (Min Comp EX EX01-04)
  • Provide safe system of work for yourself and other trades, completing both LV & HV electrical isolations
  • Manage a functional failure backlog via SAP, Plan and Execute work.
  • You will lead/supervise sub-contracting teams ensuring all QA/QC complete.
  • Control all changes & upgrades via the company’s GMOC system.
  • Ability to be trained in the use of MEWP
  • Ability to be trained in the use of Cable identification & Cable tracing equipment (CAT Scanning)
  • Scope and plan electrical outage work

About You

  • A good general education to at least GCSE level. 5 GCSEs should be of grades A-C and must include English Language, Maths and Science.
  • Electrical apprenticeship or an Electrical related qualification
  • Prior experience working as an Electrical Technician within industry or with experience in a related and relevant industry with the ability to transfer into the role as an Electrical Technician at Exxon Mobil
  • High standards of safety, trade skills, quality of work, timekeeping, maintenance of tools and equipment
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office
  • Broad range of skills with various electrical systems
  • SAP experience advantageous
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently
  • Thrives working to challenging schedules
