What you will do
- Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the global analytics strategy for bio commodities, establishing best practices and frameworks for broader application across the organization.
- Market Expertise: Provide deep functional insight into complex, fast-evolving bio markets, including: Biofeedstocks, biofuels, and carbon; diverse commodity types and compliance regimes; varied counterpart structures and trade barriers; regional market dynamics across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
- Thought Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert and thought leader, guiding the organization through the intricacies of bio markets and identifying emerging trends and opportunities.
- Team Management: Lead and develop a geographically distributed team of analysts across four global locations (London, Singapore, Houston, Calgary), many of whom are early in their careers.
- Collaboration & Influence: Build strong partnerships with Traders, Trading leadership, and the Global Biofuels/Carbon Trading Manager, providing insights that directly influence trading decisions and strategic direction. Work closely with trading, strategy, and regulatory teams to ensure analytics are aligned with commercial priorities and regulatory developments.
- Value Creation: Identify trading opportunities through rigorous, in-depth analysis and deliver actionable insights that create measurable commercial value (P&L) across all Global bio markets.
About you
- Deep understanding of proven expertise in bio commodities markets, with a strong understanding of regional differences and regulatory landscapes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams, especially in a multi-location, multicultural environment.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- London office-based position, with full-time, on-site presence (5 days per week).
