Are you passionate about helping individuals overcome barriers and become their best selves? Do you have experience supporting individuals who are long term unemployed and want to make a real difference? We are looking for an experienced Digital Skills Tutor to join our team and support individuals within the London area. In this role, you will be delivering 1:1 tailored lessons to help build confidence, enhance digital and employability skills, and support learners as they work towards their goal of entering the world of work. This opportunity is perfect for an experienced tutor who values flexibility, autonomy, and the chance to shape how support is delivered.
Requirements:
- 6+ months experience in an employability setting or similar
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable but not essential)
- Willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check
- Experience in delivering employability skills (vocational skills experience in areas such as employability, digital skills, sector specific delivery is a plus)
- Ability to support individuals further from the job market and those with mental health challenges
- Passion for inspiring and motivating learners to achieve their goals
Responsibilities:
- Create, plan, and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons for learners with varying abilities and complex needs
- Engage learners in essential digital skills, life skills and employability skills to support their journey into work experience placements
- Monitor and assess progress, providing appropriate feedback to ensure learners are meeting milestones
- Work closely with the employer engagement team to ensure effective learning and progression
- Maintain records of learners’ progress and development in line with company and awarding body standards
- Act as a pastoral tutor, providing guidance, advice, and support where necessary
- Ensure Equality and Diversity principles are instilled both in and out of the classroom
- Safeguard learners by identifying and raising any safeguarding concerns promptly
