We are currently seeking a Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join our team to support our network of nursing home settings. As an RGN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to residents. Main Responsibilities:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of residents’ health and care needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing appropriate interventions
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to established protocols
• Monitoring and evaluating residents’ physical and mental well-being, promptly identifying any changes or concerns and taking appropriate action
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated and holistic care delivery
• Providing support and guidance to care staff, promoting a positive working environment and maintaining effective communication
• Responding to emergencies, effectively managing crisis situations, and providing immediate medical assistance when necessary
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
• Advocating for residents’ rights and preferences, respecting their dignity, privacy, and cultural beliefs
• Participating in training and development activities, continuously expanding your knowledge and skills in nursing practice.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Registered Nurse qualification (RGN) and current active registration with the NMC
• Proven experience and competence in delivering high-quality nursing care in a nursing home or similar setting
• Excellent clinical skills, including the ability to perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and manage complex care needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective relationships with residents, families, and the care team
• Empathy, compassion, and a person-centred approach to care, prioritising residents’ well-being and comfort
• Sound knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks, policies, and best practices in nursing and elderly care
• Ability to work well under pressure, handle challenging situations with professionalism and maintain composure
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and keeping up-to-date with advancements in nursing practice.
