Shifts: Variable (more detail below) We are currently looking to recruit a Maintenance Technician, on behalf of our client, to join their team in Battersea, who can support and facilitate everyday operations within a medium-sized coffee roasting production company. The Technician is responsible for working alongside key members of the operations team, helping to: Troubleshoot problems within the production process Read electrical drawings & using tools (including a tester) to work with electrical components. Maintain & repair machines, production lines & items as required, and as per planned schedules Ensure workshop and production area is kept clean, clear & tidy, and adhering to strict hygiene policies Deputizing line managers when required, in case of breaks and holidays Assist with general tasks where required; picking, packing, palletising & dealing with delivery vehicles. A successful candidate will have the following profile: Enthusiastic professional who gets the job done with passion and interest Extremely reliable in terms of attendance and time keeping Shifts will be within the hours of operation (8.0022.00 Mon to Fri / 8.0017.00 Sat). Shifts will most likely cover the later part of the operation hours (up to 22.00), but candidates must be flexible to work both AM & PM. Ability to work effectively under pressure, while maintaining a friendly, courteous and helpful attitude to colleagues Supportive and encouraging to other colleagues, especially to Production Assistants Interested in coffee Willing to learn new tasks and skills and also to improve and develop those already known Good organizational skills and ability to manage time and tasks efficiently This role would be suitable for a candidate with an interest in engineering/electrical work and/or coffee production processes. Basic level experience with engineering/electrical work would be beneficial; no specific qualifications required. Ideal for anyone who may have started, but not completed an engineering/electrical qualification. A short on-site interview with our client would be required for any potential candidate before the role is offered. This will be discussed & arranged by Extraman on behalf of our client.
