Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for aProject Lead (Digital Transformation to join our team based at our Head Office in Coventry.

We're seeking a Project Lead to champion the implementation of our HR & Payroll system, People First, as part of our Digital Transformation strategy. In this role, you'll ensure a seamless rollout and adoption of the new system by leading planning, execution, and stakeholder engagement, all while upholding best practices in project governance.

- Location: Coventry (based at Head Office)
- Job type: Fixed Term (12 months)
- Hours per week: 37.5 hours
- Salary: £45,000 Per Annum

You will:
- Lead the end-to-end implementation of People First (HR & Payroll system), ensuring alignment with IT Digital Strategic goals.
- Coordinate system design, testing and rollout in collaboration with MHR PM and internal HR and Payroll SMEs.
- Facilitate project meetings and workshops as required such as lessons learned, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among project teams.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports (e.g. Project Board meeting slides) to stakeholders, highlighting risks.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation (e.g. RAID logs, change requests, lessons learned).
- Work closely with HR, payroll, IT and external contractor(s) to ensure seamless communication and workflows.
- Measure and ensure key benefits (e.g. process automation, reduction in admin work) during and post-implementation.
- Ensure all project activities comply with GDPR, cyber security, and other regulatory requirements.
This role will require travel to locations as and when required, especially during project implementation. The role will require to work on other DT projects as needed.
About you:
- Experience of project management.
- Strong understanding of HR & Payroll end to end business processes, particularly around Employee Information Management, Time and Attendance Management, Performance Management, Case Management, Employee Self-Service (ESS) & Manager Self-Service (MSS).
- Hands-on expertise on solution testing and organising user acceptance testing.
- Experience of identifying and finding solutions to problems.
- Experience at identifying opportunities and evaluating and mitigating issues and risks.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and frameworks, such as PRINCE 2 and Agile.
