The Extracare Charitable Trust are recruiting for a Fitness Instructor on a permanent contract to join our supportive team, based at Stoke Gifford Retirement Village based in Bristol.

About the role:
We’re looking for an energetic, empathetic, and creative Fitness Instructor to join our friendly team at Stoke Gifford. You’ll work closely with our Wellbeing Advisor to deliver safe, engaging, and enjoyable fitness classes for our vibrant community.
- Role: Fitness Instructor
- Hours: 30 hours per week – flexible schedule
- Salary: £13.45 per hour
- Location: Stoke Gifford Retirement Village, Edward Parker Road, Bristol, BS16 1YG
What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver a variety of classes tailored to suit our residents, including:
- Balance & Falls Prevention, Dance-based sessions, Pilates, Gym-based exercise
- Create inclusive and adaptable workouts to suit different abilities and needs
- Provide individual support and encouragement to residents
- Complete some simple admin and light marketing tasks
What we’re looking for:
- A recognised fitness qualification (group and/or personal training)
- Dance background preferred – we love movement that’s joyful and fun!
- A warm, compassionate approach and genuine enthusiasm for supporting older adults
- Ability to adapt classes to suit different fitness levels
- Excellent communication and people skills
