ExtraCare Charitable Trust are looking for a Marketing and Communications Officer! Are you an experienced Marketing and Communications Officer looking to develop your career with an award winning, forward-thinking charity? We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing and Communications Officer to join our team based at our Head Office in Coventry.

At The ExtraCare Charitable Trust, you will help deliver ExtraCare’s marketing and internal communications objectives by producing appealing content, building positive engagement with audiences, and ensuring messages are timely, consistent and aligned to our priorities. The role would suit someone comfortable taking a proactive approach, responding to enquiries and conversations professionally while strengthening relationships with colleagues and online audiences.

Key Duties:
  • Plan, create, schedule and publish content across multiple platforms externally and internally.
  • Develop a range of audience-focused content including posts, graphics, short-form video and news updates.
  • Coordinate the weekly staff bulletin by collating submissions, editing content where applicable and recommending the most effective internal channel for each message.
  • Support the team on marketing and internal communications campaigns, assisting with events, photoshoots, video shoots and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Track performance across social media and internal channels, updating relevant metrics, and using insight to improve future activity.
  • Take responsibility for your own aspects of Health and Safety, ensuring ExtraCare’s Health and Safety Policies and requirements are fully implemented, monitored and adhered to, including COSHH regulations and alert for hazards for self, other staff, residents and visitors and report such findings immediately.
About you:
  • Experience of managing social media platforms (outside of personal capacity).
  • Strong digital creative skills - developing and maintaining social media content.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused when responding to challenging or negative online interactions.
  • Degree-level qualification in Communications or a related field (e.g. social media, digital communications, PR or marketing), or a relevant PR/marketing certificate.
