ExtraCare Charitable Trust are looking for a Housing & Resident Engagement Manager. The Housing and Resident Engagement Manager will be responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality housing management services within integrated retirement communities, in a way that supports the lives of our residents. You will manage the provision of a full range of broad-based housing management and related services so that ExtraCare’s residents have access to excellent services to improve resident satisfaction, achieve tenancy sustainability and maximise income for the Trust.
You will have strategic responsibility for Enhanced Housing Management (EHM) and Housing Related Support (HRS) Services (where they still exist), or alternatives, and associated contract negotiations, supporting Regional Operations Managers and Location Managers. The role will provide strategic direction and leadership on housing services to deliver excellent co-ordinated and cost-effective services to our residents.
You will manage relationships with the Resident Forums, promote local Resident Associations and encourage the culture of listening to the voice of our residents and resident involvement. You will lead and coordinate ExtraCare's landlord responsibilities as a Registered Provider, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice. The role will act as the custodian of the Customer Involvement Policy, promoting meaningful resident engagement, and will oversee the organisation's complaints management system to ensure complaints are handled effectively, consistently and in line with policy and regulatory expectations.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Permanent / Full Time)
Location: Head Office, Coventry, CV3 2SN
Salary: £52,500 per annum
Key Duties:
- Lead housing management services across the trust, ensuring a visible, resident-focused service that promotes independence, wellbeing, inclusion, and tenancy sustainability in line with our visions and values.
- Manage tenancies effectively by supporting locations with sign-ups, tenancy breaches, anti-social behaviour, safeguarding concerns, notice periods and terminations, in line with legislation, policy and good practice.
- Manage and foster good working relationships with our housing partner organisations where they are responsible for housing management services.
- Work with our Housing Partners who deliver housing management services at schemes and villages to ensure the service is delivered to the standard we would expect.
- Ensure compliance with social housing regulation by maintaining detailed knowledge of the requirements of the Regulator of Social Housing and embedding these standards into operational practice.
- Manage the running of the Resident Forums and the framework in which they operate, including organisation, agenda planning, liaison with the Chair and Vice Chair, minutes, communication and promotion amongst residents and staff.
- Promote, advise on, and support the set-up of Resident Associations and alternative routes of encouraging representation, involvement, and participation of residents.
- Ensure close working relationships are developed with other agencies such as Local Authorities, voluntary organisations, and other statutory authorities to improve service delivery.
