Extra Recruitment are looking for a Wood Machinist in the Cradley Heath area. to join a well-established timber supplier based in Cradley Heath. This is a hands-on, physical role suited to someone with proven experience operating timber machinery not a carpentry position. Details Of The Role: Cradley Heath Monday – Friday 7am 4pm Monday to Thursday 7am 3:30pm Friday £16.00ph 42 hours paid per week This role can lead to a permanent contract for the right candidate Role of a Wood Machinist Operate industrial wood machinery such as rip saws, crosscut saws , and other timber processing equipment Cut and prepare timber to specification with attention to quality and safety Ensure all machinery is used and maintained correctly Work efficiently as part of a production team Adhere to all site health and safety policies Requirements of a Wood Machinist Essential: Previous experience operating timber machinery (particularly rip saws ) Strong understanding of timber processing and machine safety Ability to work independently and as part of a team
