Extra Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Estimator in the Birmingham area.
Details of a Estimator:
- Monday - Friday
- 08:30 start - 4:30 finish
- Full time (36.25 hours per week)
- £30,000 - £40,000
Role of a Estimator:
- Review enquiries to determine suitability for pricing (in conjunction with Sales Manager).
- Completion of price for tender including outwork, materials and internal manufacturing hours assessment for both joinery & metalwork.
- Identification of points for competitive advantage and agreement on method of pricing in conjunction with Sales Manager.
- Briefing on tender to Managing Director to allow policy to be decided.
- Completion of tender submission including required bills & breakdowns.
- Briefing in conjunction with Contracts Manager over method of pricing at Contract Launch meeting.
- Liaison with setting out & foremen to ensure items are drawn and manufactured in accordance with estimate (including drawing sign off).
- Pricing of variations identified with contract for inclusion by contracts manager in account applications.
- All relevant Company Standing Instructions must be followed at all times i.e. Purchase Invoice management, glass checking procedures.
Requirements of a Estimator:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role or relevant on the job experience.
- Knowledge of joinery and metalwork.
- The estimator should always assess the enquiry to determine methods of pricing that will result in a competitive advantage to enable the contract to be won.
