Extra Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Punch Press Operator to work with our sheet metal / fabrication client based in Telford.

Details:

  • Day and night shifts available
  • Day Shift - 8am till 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8am till 3pm Friday
  • Night Shift - 4.30pm till 3am Monday to Wednesday, 4.30pm till 2am Thursday
  • Day Shift - £14.04 (£15.60 if trained setter)
  • Night Shift - £15.54 (£17.10 if trained setter)
  • Temp to perm positions

Duties Include:

  • Setting and operating Trumpf punch machines
  • Reading and interpreting drawings
  • Undertake all aspects of creating part drawings
  • Selecting correct tooling for each job
  • Working with thin gauge materials typically between 0.7mm to 3.0mm aluminium, stainless steel
  • Working to standard operating procedures
  • Responsible for checking quality of parts produced
  • Ensure exemplary housekeeping standards to both machine and work area
  • Perform other duties as required by Supervisor/Manager

Candidate:

  • Experienced CNC Punch Programmer, Setter and Operator, ideally with a minimum of 2 years experience
  • Experience using Radan software is desirable, although training may be provided to a suitable candidate
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Capable of following processes and producing work that conforms to quality and safety standards
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Punctual and reliable
