Extra Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Punch Press Operator to work with our sheet metal / fabrication client based in Telford.
Details:
- Day and night shifts available
- Day Shift - 8am till 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8am till 3pm Friday
- Night Shift - 4.30pm till 3am Monday to Wednesday, 4.30pm till 2am Thursday
- Day Shift - £14.04 (£15.60 if trained setter)
- Night Shift - £15.54 (£17.10 if trained setter)
- Temp to perm positions
Duties Include:
- Setting and operating Trumpf punch machines
- Reading and interpreting drawings
- Undertake all aspects of creating part drawings
- Selecting correct tooling for each job
- Working with thin gauge materials typically between 0.7mm to 3.0mm aluminium, stainless steel
- Working to standard operating procedures
- Responsible for checking quality of parts produced
- Ensure exemplary housekeeping standards to both machine and work area
- Perform other duties as required by Supervisor/Manager
Candidate:
- Experienced CNC Punch Programmer, Setter and Operator, ideally with a minimum of 2 years experience
- Experience using Radan software is desirable, although training may be provided to a suitable candidate
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Capable of following processes and producing work that conforms to quality and safety standards
- Good problem-solving skills
- Punctual and reliable
