Extra Recruitment are recruiting for a Machine Operative in the Hixon area.

Details of a Machine Operative:

  • Hixon ST18
  • Monday to Thursday
  • 6am - 4pm
  • £12.21 - £15.00 p/h (Pay rate depends on experience)
  • Temp to perm

Roles of a Machine Operative:

  • Operating low-pressure / low-temperature overmoulding machines (Moldman / Optimel)
  • Loading inserts and carrying out overmoulding/encapsulation of cables, connectors, and electronics
  • Setting basic parameters and completing mould changeovers to production spec
  • Quality inspection and finishing (flash trim, defects, sealing/cosmetic checks)
  • Following drawings/work instructions and completing production paperwork/traceability

Requirements of a Machine Operative:

  • Must have a prior background
  • Must be physically capable of heavy lifting
  • Must be physically capable of standing for long periods of time
  • Must be able to drive due to location of the role
  • Must be able to attend an interview
