Extra Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a specialist electrical manufacturing company based in Hixon, Stafford (ST18).
This is a great opportunity for someone with electrical CAD design experience who is looking for a long-term position within a specialist manufacturing environment.
You will be working alongside an experienced engineering team, producing electrical drawings and designs used directly in the manufacturing of wiring harnesses and cable looms.
Details of an Electrical Design Engineer
Pay: £16.83 to £20.19 per hour (dependent on experience)
Location: Hixon, Stafford (ST18)
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Hours: 8am to 4pm
Contract: Full-time, temp to perm
Weekly Pay
Day Shifts Only, No Weekends
Role of an Electrical Design Engineer
Creating and updating electrical drawings using CAD design software
Designing wiring harnesses, cable looms and electrical systems
Producing detailed wiring diagrams, schematics and manufacturing drawings
Preparing Bills of Materials (BOMs), wire lists and technical documentation
Working from customer specifications, sketches and existing technical drawings
Making amendments to designs and drawings when required
Working closely with engineers and production teams to ensure designs are suitable for manufacturing
Supporting improvements to existing electrical designs and manufacturing processes
Requirements of an Electrical Design Engineer
Previous experience using electrical CAD design software such as Rapid Harness, AutoCAD Electrical, Zuken E3 or similar (Essential)
Experience producing electrical drawings and schematics (Essential)
Ability to read and understand technical drawings (Essential)
Experience designing wiring harnesses or cable looms (Highly desirable)
Understanding of vehicle electrical systems (Desirable)
