We are recruiting an experienced Class 1 Driver in Burton upon Trent for an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity with a well-established transport company. This is a long-term Class 1 Driver role offering a popular 4 on 4 off shift pattern, consistent hours, and excellent earning potential. As a Class 1 Driver, you will be carrying out general haulage work within a professional transport operation, making this an ideal opportunity for a Class 1 Driver looking for stability and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a Class 1 (C+E) vehicle on scheduled delivery routes
  • Complete general haulage deliveries and collections
  • Carry out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
  • Complete all delivery paperwork accurately
  • Ensure loads are transported safely and securely
  • Follow driver hours, WTD, and road safety regulations
  • Maintain excellent communication with the transport team

Requirements:

  • Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred
  • Maximum of 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, IN, TT, CD or other major endorsements)
  • Reliable, professional, and safety-focused
  • Able to pass a driving assessment if required
