Extra Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Permanent Shift Supervisor to work with our client based in Telford.
Location: Telford
Salary: £30K Per Annum
Hours of Work: 6am till 2pm / 2pm till 10pm rotating
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and motivated Shift Leader to join our clients Production team. You will be responsible for leading a team to achieve production, quality, and delivery targets while ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. This role requires a hands-on leader who can drive performance, support continuous improvement activities, and maintain high operational standards across the shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support production teams to achieve daily KPI and throughput targets
- Ensure production schedules and operational priorities are met
- Monitor quality, WIP booking, route cards, and production documentation
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Investigate production and quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Conduct appraisals, training, and performance management activities
- Maintain accurate attendance, training, and performance records
- Promote a positive team culture and safe working environment
- Liaise with support departments to minimise downtime and resolve issues quickly
About You
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production leadership role
- Strong communication and team management skills
- Experience working with KPIs and continuous improvement processes
- Good problem-solving and organisational abilities
- Understanding of health & safety within a manufacturing environment
