Details of a Furnace Operator:
- Salary: 13.00-13.50ph (depending on experience)
- Working days: Monday to Friday
- Working hours: 0500 starts (38hrs per week)
- Location: Stourbridge DY9
- Duration: Temp to perm
Role of a Furnace Operator:
- Operate and monitor furnaces in line with production requirements.
- Charge furnaces with raw materials.
- Control melt temperatures and chemistry to meet specifications.
- Furnace cleaning and maintenance.
- Work closely with casting, pattern, and quality teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Any other tasks as and when required.
Requirements of a Furnace Operator:
- Have experience in a foundry setting.
- Knowledge of furnace operation, metal melting and/or casting processes.
- Be willing to learn & get trained.
- Ability to work in hot and demanding conditions.
- Good communication.
