Electrical CAD Designer
£17.50 to £21.54 per hour | Hixon, Stafford (ST18) | Monday to Friday
Extra Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Electrical CAD Designer on behalf of a specialist electrical manufacturing company based in Hixon, Stafford.
This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity involving the design and production of electrical drawings, wiring harnesses and cable looms. You'll work closely with the engineering and production teams to create accurate drawings used in manufacturing.
Job Details
Pay: £17.50 to £21.54 per hour (depending on experience)
Location: Hixon, Stafford (ST18)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm
Contract: Full-time, temp to perm
Shifts: Days only, no weekends
Pay Frequency: Weekly
The Role
As an Electrical CAD Designer, your responsibilities will include:
Creating and updating electrical CAD drawings and designs
Designing wiring harnesses, cable looms and electrical systems
Producing wiring diagrams, electrical schematics and manufacturing drawings
Preparing Bills of Materials (BOMs), wire lists and technical documentation
Working from customer specifications and existing technical drawings
Updating designs and drawings when required
Working with engineers and production teams to ensure drawings are suitable for manufacturing
Essential Requirements
Experience using electrical CAD software such as Rapid Harness, AutoCAD Electrical, Zuken E3 or similar
Experience producing electrical drawings, wiring diagrams or schematics
Ability to read and understand technical drawings
Good attention to detail and technical understanding
Desirable Experience
Wiring harness or cable loom design
Vehicle electrical systems
Electrical manufacturing, automotive or engineering environments
