Extra Recruitment are recruiting for a BOM & Item Master Controller in the Cheslyn Hay (WS6) area. Are you an experienced manufacturing professional with a strong understanding of Bills of Materials, ERP systems and master data? This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of BOM and Item Master data, ensuring accuracy across planning, production and procurement.
Details:
- Location: Cheslyn Hay, WS6
- Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am - 5:15pm; Friday, 8:00am - 12:00pm
- Salary: £33,000 - £38,000 per year
- Type: Permanent, Monthly paid
Roles:
- Create, maintain and control Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the ERP system
- Maintain Item Master data including planning parameters, lead times, costing and sourcing information
- Manage BOM revisions, versions, alternatives and engineering changes
- Ensure data accuracy across Engineering, Production, Procurement and Finance
- Support MRP planning by investigating and resolving data issues
- Implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) in line with production schedules
- Carry out data audits and continuous improvement activities
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing data standards
- Support the development of best practice for BOM and Item Master management
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience within manufacturing engineering, planning or master data
- Previous experience managing Bills of Materials and Item Masters within an ERP system
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central would be advantageous
- Strong understanding of MRP and manufacturing processes
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical ability
- Strong communication and organisational skills
