Extra Men Limited are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 PM Drivers around the Lichfield area to support one of our most valued clients: one of the UKs leading names in DIY and Home Improvement products.
Our client offers 10 hours minimum paid hours with a paid break. Plus daily bonus paid and overtime after 10 hours.
You will be responsible for delivering caged goods to retail stores across the UK. The role involves handball, with drivers expected to unload caged goods onto the tail lift and push to back doors. Back door staff will take them from there. The trailers are pre-loaded before your arrival, ensuring a smooth start to each shift.
The shift pattern is Monday-Friday AM every week, guaranteed bookings ongoing. Our client is looking for start times between 00:00 - 03:00. A daily bonus applies to both of these start windows, potentially adding £60 on AM and £70 on PM on a 5 day week. An overtime rate has now been introduced after 10 hours per day.
Please note: No alternative AM start times are currently available, although we can offer PM starts 11:00-15:00. An assessment is required prior to full site access. Drivers are paid upon passing and completion of one week's work.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 Licence held and used for over 1 year
- No more than 6 penalty points
- No DD, DR, DG, CC, CD, MS, or IN endorsements
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude
- Punctual, reliable, and respectful of others' time
- Physically capable and comfortable with handball duties
