We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with various day-to-day tasks to enable them to live independently.
- Promote their independence by practicing life skills such as cooking or catching public transport.
- Perform household cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, shopping, or running errands.
- Reconnect people with the local community by bringing them to coffee mornings or to classes or groups.
- Provide companionship or respite assistance.
- Accompany clients to appointments or social outings.
- Maintain flexibility and adaptability, working with clients on a regular basis to create a meaningful routine.
Requirements:
- Experience in similar roles is preferred but not necessary; anyone wanting to make a difference and give back to their community can apply.
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record is essential for transporting clients.
- Basic proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is required for clear communication.
- Excellent communication skills to engage positively with clients and their families.
