As a Hygiene Operative you will play a significant role in ensuring the smooth operation of the business through keeping the factory clean and reducing the risk of listeria. The role will vary, but the work will predominately be spent in high care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out scheduled daily and weekly cleaning tasks.
- Dismantle and reassemble production lines (Some heavy lifting may be involved).
- Deep clean production areas on a weekly basis.
- Actively support and promote the ‘One Team’ ethos of working and supporting between departments.
- Ensure all tasks undertaken comply with the company procedures for Health and Safety reasons and Hygiene standards.
- Ensure that the cleaning equipment and PPE are always functioning correctly.
- Report any incidents or concerns to your team leader or manager.
- Maintain and replenish stocks of cleaning materials and report any shortages to the appropriate person(s).
- Safely prepare, handle, and dispose of cleaning chemicals and disinfectants used in line with your hygiene duties.
- Carry out other reasonable tasks, as directed by management.
The ideal candidate must have:
- High levels of attention to detail.
- Food Safety Level 2.
- Previous experience working within a hygiene department (desirable).

Shift pattern of 4-on-4-off, this will be from Monday to Sunday, 6pm to 6am - 12 hours shifts.
