Role Description
As a Goods Operative, you will be responsible for unloading and accurately booking in goods delivered to site, whilst completing the necessary inbound checks required to maintain compliance.
You will use MHE to effectively utilise space, label pallets and maintain accurate records within the system.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload deliveries with the use of a Forklift and pump truck.
- Accurately book in deliveries in accordance with paperwork.
- Strictly follow the goods intake procedures and processes whilst accurately maintaining records in the warehouse management system.
- Put away and move material accurately with the use of a scanner.
- Work in a temperature-controlled environment, decanting and moving goods.
- Understand and adhere to company hygiene and food safety standards.
- Use space and MHE efficiently ensuring workplace health & safety requirements are met.
- Collaborating with peers and superiors to maximise efficiencies and best practice.
- You are expected to support other areas of the business by;
- Servicing Debox production with raw materials.
- Servicing Packing Room with Dry Goods.
- Supporting the Out-loading team in busy periods.
Personal Attributes
- Previous experience in a QA or food safety role within food manufacturing (dairy experience advantageous).
- Good understanding of food safety standards such as HACCP, GMP, and BRC.
- Excellent attention to detail with a methodical, thorough approach to checks and documentation
- Strong observational skills and the confidence to identify and challenge non-conformances
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to liaise professionally across all levels of the business, from production operatives to senior management
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple checks and priorities within a fast-paced production environment
- Sound numeracy and record-keeping skills
- Basic computer literacy, including comfort using quality management systems and Microsoft Office
- Experience with audits, non-conformance reporting and corrective actions
- Knowledge of allergen controls, traceability, and retailer standards

- Monday to Friday 2pm - 10pm
- Site based
