Support and coordinate a remote, national team delivering digital activism campaigns. Use your professional communication and organisational skills to help guide strategy and team processes as a Team Guide – known as an Internal Coordinator in Extinction Rebellion. Your leadership will directly support a national team empowering digital climate action, helping the team work effectively and sustainably so that thousands of people can take meaningful action from home in support of environmental and social justice.
What we’re looking for

- Experience in remote or volunteer‑led team environments

What will you be doing?
Digital Rebellion is a small, dynamic team within Extinction Rebellion UK that creates accessible, at‑home digital actions to engage people in nonviolent climate activism—wherever they are. We are seeking an experienced Internal Coordinator to share leadership of the group. This role is vital to maintaining effective operations, enabling smooth teamwork, and ensuring the group’s work aligns with XR’s wider goals. You’ll help lead internal planning, manage communication and coordination processes, and work closely with the External Coordinator to support campaign delivery. This is a flexible, remote position and offers a unique opportunity to apply your strategic, organisational, and facilitation skills in a purpose‑driven setting.
Key responsibilities
- Co‑lead team coordination and facilitate internal communication
- Plan and chair weekly meetings, including setting agendas and managing follow‑ups
- Help set internal priorities and workflows in alignment with overall XR strategy
- Collaborate with the External Coordinator to align team operations with campaign objectives
- Support and monitor team well‑being, inclusion, and effectiveness
- Maintain clear documentation and channels for internal decisions
- Help onboard and support new team members
