This is an essential role where you’ll help XR North amplify its message by managing and creating engaging social media content.
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the climate movement and engage with the public. You’ll help spread XR North’s message and increase community involvement. We provide training and buddying to ensure your posts are clear, concise, and impactful.
Your work will directly increase awareness of XR North’s campaigns, events, and actions—helping to mobilise more people, build community support, and amplify the urgent message of climate justice. By improving our online presence, you’ll be playing a key part in growing a powerful, region-wide movement for change.
What are we looking for?
- Essential Skills: Experience in Instagram, Facebook and Bluesky with a minimum of 3 years of experience to ensure posts are consistent, clear, concise, and engaging. Proactive and comfortable working remotely as part of a team. Reliable with strong communication skills. Confident in engaging with others online. Experience in social media post-writing.
- Desired Skills: Willingness to undertake online training related to the role.
What will you be doing?
- Share key information about XR North activities.
- Monitor social media inboxes and filter inquiries to the right people or working groups.
- Check and respond to comments on social media platforms.
- Provide feedback to North Working Group meetings (attendance when needed).
