Recruiters play a vital role in expanding and strengthening XR. They write the roles and identify, engage and onboard volunteers who are passionate about driving climate action. Many teams need to recruit with your expertise to help them. What difference will you make? You will enjoy seeing teams grow and flourish as you help them to recruit, take pressure off those who don't have time or don't have the skills to recruit, and as a result, you increase their capacity. You will empower volunteers to discover roles that align with their passions and drive meaningful change, gaining experience in the recruitment and onboarding field.

What will you be doing?
This role can be shared. You will need at least three years of professional experience. We [XRUK Recruitment Support] want to build our team of recruiters. A recruiter is linked in a support role from Recruitment Support to any XRUK team who is running a recruitment drive to build their team's capacity. The recruiter identifies what that team needs and then supports them with the recruitment and onboarding of new applicants into the team.
The mandate [purpose and tasks] for the Recruiter & Onboarding Coordinator states that the team needs team members who are flourishing and productive in all roles, and the team has members to fill its roles and support its workload.
Main tasks
- Supporting another XRUK team with writing the roles and opportunities they need to recruit
- Responding to, managing and meeting applicants
- Onboarding, inducting and orienting new members into the team
- Inviting new members to join the team
- Creating a training plan based on available templates
- Relevant admin tasks, e.g. updating XR platforms
- Checking in with team members about their fit with roles, projects and the team generally, and offering feedback
- Suggesting improvements to who fills roles, to improve the work of the team and its members
SUPPORT Training is available for each of your main tasks and you will be able to shadow others doing this role until you feel confident in the role. You will be part of the friendly Recruitment Support team. We look forward to hearing from you.
