Coordinate and initiate XR North events across the region (around four per year), including talks, training and socials. Work with local groups and comms teams to organise inclusive events. Mostly remote with some optional in-person attendance. Role can be shared.

What difference will you make? You’ll help bring people together across the region by supporting the delivery of events that build community, share skills and strengthen collaboration between XR North’s local groups.

What are we looking for?

  • Essential Skills
    • You will need 3 years of experience in either event coordination/management or community organising.
    • Organised and able to coordinate tasks.
    • Comfortable communicating with a range of people.
    • Creative approach to organising events and activities.
  • Desired Skills (not Essential)
    • Networking and relationship-building.
    • Basic understanding of event planning.
    • Problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
    • Self‑motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

What will you be doing?

  • Liaising with the XR North Talks & Training Coordinator.
  • Liaising with the XR North Gardener to support local groups to develop regional events.
  • Working with the Anchor North group to communicate event needs to social media, press, newsletter, Action Network (email) and website teams.
  • Supporting the development of accessible and inclusive events.
