Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer- Hardware Development that will provide TGCS Staging Services for Point-of-Sale (POS) hardware and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) products.
It combines technical expertise with strategic planning to deliver configurable, cost-effective solutions that comply with product standards and customer requirements.
The role involves preparing and submitting cost-effective staging quotes to service and sales teams, establishing and releasing unique part numbers and Bills of Materials (BOMs), reviewing customer-provided images and test documentation, defining routing processes, coordinating pilot builds with manufacturers, and customizing packaging to meet specific requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and submit staging for all quote requests.
Analyze customer requirements and product specifications to develop accurate, cost-effective staging quotes, factoring in product structure, component complexity and estimated assembly times.
- Create and release Engineering Changes (ECs) and Bills of Materials (BOMs) tailored to specific staging configurations and returned equipment.
Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with production requirements.
ECs are submitted to TGCS manufacturing for part setup and implementation.
- Responsible for developing the staging process and creating customized customer routing documents.
These documents include key components such as product specifications, sequential routing steps, work center assignments, detailed assembly and staging instructions, logic testing procedures, inspection criteria, and packaging design
- Validate the Line Build In (LBI) process prior to the start of manufacturing to ensure the production line is properly staged and operational.
Oversee pilot runs to confirm the accuracy of routing documentation.
Ensure quality assurance protocols are met and hold responsibility for approving First Article Inspection (FAI) results.
- Design and define packaging solutions, including detailed drawings, packaging matrices, pallet configurations, and specification documentation.
Responsible for testing and approving packaging to ensure it meets functional, quality, and customer requirements
