Salary: Grade 5 salary scale: £25,614 per annum (pro rata) Plus: Sleep in allowance of £83 per sleep in (Average 2 per week)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week including sleep ins (approx. 2-3 a week)

About Service: Extern MUST Hostel is a temporary accommodation provider for women and men who are homeless and have complex needs with regard to their mental health, substance use or experience of the criminal justice system. Over recent years, MUST Hostel has enjoyed a professional reputation for its provision of a caring and humane service where intervention and support are based on the needs of the service users.

Specific To Post: In addition to providing support to individuals who are vulnerable and have complex needs, this post specifically includes risk managing and supporting people with complex needs who have been convicted of a variety of criminal offences and who have been assessed under statutory definitions as being of medium to high risk of reoffending. The post involves working intensively with people with mental health and physical health problems, addiction issues and learning disability. It includes working in partnership with service users within the residential environment to reduce their risk of reoffending and work towards successful resettlement to independent accommodation in the community. The post includes a wide range of practical assistance, intervention, advocacy and liaison with both statutory and voluntary agencies and the ability to assess, manage and work effectively with risk.
