About the service:
To promote delivery of Protect Life 2 Strategy. This post involves direct contact with those experiencing mental health crisis who are vulnerable to suicidal thoughts and/or self-harm with the aim of de-escalating crisis and providing a safe plan in addition to delivery of ongoing 1:1 support sessions with a focus on the underlying causes of suicidal ideation and developing bespoke coping strategies and building on existing strengths to support recovery.
In addition to 1:1 sessions, the team delivers group work interventions and group activities including well-being and awareness-raising events and facilitates training including ASIST, MHFA and SafeTALK.
