Our client is an award winning building design consultancy currently experiencing a period of growth. With exciting new projects on the horizon, they are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. With sites across the North, this role can be based in either Northallerton, Kendal or Cockermouth on a hybrid basis.
Salary
£45,000 – £55,000 per annum, depending on experience

About the Senior Mechanical Engineer Role
As Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for producing early design advice through to detailed Mechanical Services Design.
Responsibilities
- Production of mechanical building services design calculations
- Producing feasibility reports, design specifications and drawings suitable for all RIBA work stages
- Undertaking surveys on mechanical building services to advise on their suitability for continued use
- Knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts including full service and Design and Build
- Carry out project design and complete H&S risk assessments
- Overseeing and supervising the installation of building services systems
- Using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) and BIM (Revit) software
About You
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be degree qualified with around 10 years post qualification experience within Building Services. You will ideally have experience of working as a contract administrator and will be confident working on buildings that contain asbestos.

- Degree or HNC in Building Services Engineering
- BIM and Revit software experience
- Project Management qualification
- P405 working with asbestos
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Autodesk AutoCAD and NBS software
