Our client is a highly successful manufacturer with manufacturing sites worldwide, including a large production facility in the North East.

They are currently looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who is passionate about delivering accurate and timely payroll services while ensuring compliance with current legislation and company policies.

Working as part of a supportive finance team, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll processes, maintaining employee records, and providing exceptional support to colleagues across the business.

  • About the Payroll Specialist Position
  • Process payroll accurately and within agreed deadlines.
  • Manage starters, leavers and employee changes.
  • Calculate statutory payments, deductions, overtime and other payroll adjustments.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data.
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and payroll legislation.
  • Respond to payroll queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support payroll reconciliations and reporting activities.

About You

  • Previous experience working as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar payroll position.
  • Good understanding of UK payroll legislation and processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical skills.
  • Experience using payroll systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
