Our client is a global engineering business with multiple sites in the North East. They are currently looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to be based at their site in Newcastle on a permanent basis.

The Role
As the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring quality standards are understood, implemented and maintained across the full project lifecycle. You’ll oversee quality planning, client documentation, internal and external audits, supplier assurance activities, and ongoing development of the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001.
Responsibilities
- Lead quality planning, documentation and client-facing quality activities.
- Manage and maintain the Quality Management System to ISO 9001 standards.
- Plan and execute internal audits, supplier audits and client audits.
- Oversee non-conformance and issue management, including root cause analysis.
- Produce quality metrics, reports and progress updates for senior stakeholders.
Key Requirements
- Strong background in engineering/manufacturing quality.
- Excellent knowledge of ISO 9001 and auditing processes.
- Experience conducting internal/external audits and managing QMS improvements.
- Confident communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
