Our client is a global engineering business with multiple sites in the North East. They are currently looking for a Control Systems Engineer to be based at their site in Newcastle on a permanent basis.

The Role
As a Control Systems Engineer, you’ll play a key role in producing high-quality technical solutions for a range of projects. You’ll work closely with Senior Engineers, collaborating across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical functions to ensure robust, safe and well-engineered outcomes.
You will be involved in:
- Developing technical solutions including concept design, detailed design, calculations and technical documentation.
- Writing specifications, supporting software development and contributing to bills of materials.
- Ensuring all designs consider safety, commissioning, testing and operational requirements.
- Interfacing with multidisciplinary teams to meet functional and project objectives.
- Supporting installation, testing and commissioning activities where required.
About You
We’re looking for a Control Systems Engineer who brings:
- Experience in a multidisciplinary design environment.
- Strong understanding of control systems, software, electrical principles and industry standards.
- Ability to solve complex engineering problems and deliver high-quality technical work.
- Attention to detail, strong ownership, and the ability to manage tasks to deadline.
- Degree-level engineering qualification (BEng/MEng) and ideally working towards professional registration.
